Ginger
Although Ginger can be defined as a vegetable, it is regularly regarded as a spice throughout the culinary world. Ginger has quite low nutritional value but packs a punch in the flavour department and is known for its antiemetic qualities, which aid in the relief of motion sickness and nausea. This spicy, aromatic vegetable is most commonly available in brown, red or purple varieties and is a great addition to stir-fries, spice mixes and curry pastes. Try adding fresh Ginger to juice or homemade lemonade for an extra zing!
